Excellent views of the valley and mountains beyond. We built this originally for our own family reunions and holidays, now we rent it when we are not using it. Last home on a cul-de-sac, so very private. In-the-woods, with hiking from our front door. An easy, beautiful 20 minute drive to downtown Highlands, and 15 minutes to Cashiers.

Everyone loves this place and builds life-time happy memories. Beautiful views from our grape-vine covered deck out front (with charcoal grille), or screened porch out back, or covered sitting area out back - take your pick! Of six bedrooms, one is a king bed, four are queen beds, one has 2 beds and is one the main floor near a low-threshold shower - perfect for our low mobility guests (grandpa and grandma!). Loft is for the kids with six beds and room for blow-up beds, and den has a pull out trundle bed - sleeps two. Great fire-pit for campfire stories and s'mores. Hammock for lazing around. Hiking trails start at the front door and go to the Chattooga River Trail ("wild & scenic" official designation - spectacularly beautiful!). Inside is very large dining table, overlooks the kitchen bar tops and breakfast table - LOTS of seating! Two-sided glass fireplace built into the half-wall that separates the living and dining room. Full size laundry room. Super-insulated and passive solar - the place is cool in the summer and cozy-warm in the winter!
